Hello! My name is Melissa Ringer and I am the .1 art teacher at Wilson Wims Elementary School.  I am here on Friday mornings. I also teach at Belmont Elementary and Matsunaga Elementary this year.  I went to school in Montgomery County  when I was growing up and I’m so happy to be able to teach in the same county.  This is my 27th year as a teacher and 18 of those have been as an art teacher. I taught preschool before becoming an art teacher.  

 

I have three children, ages 13, 17 and 22.  I also have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a hamster and 4 goats.  It is very busy at my house!  In my free time I love to spend time with my family, make jewelry, paint, read and go to the beach. 

 

I love helping students develop their creativity and learn about different artists and art techniques.  I have fun everyday making art with my students.  I love what I do!  We are going to have a fun, creative year!
